Actor Alexander Ludwig is officially off the market.

The 28-year-old Hunger Games star revealed on Instagram that he popped the question to girlfriend Lauren Dear in a sweet post on Sunday night.

Ludwig and Dear posed for a handful of cute selfies to announce their engagement and the actor gushed that he was the 'luckiest man'.

In the Instagram post, Alexander and Lauren look besotted with each other while cuddling together at outdoor restaurant.

The Vikings actor shared three snaps with his new fiance, pulling some funny faces, while she propped up her manicured hand on her cheek to showcase her ring.

'Goldilocks and Bambi live happily ever after,' he captioned his post.

Lauren's ring is a stunner and appeared to be a large oval cut solitaire diamond with a gold band.

The Canadian actor's 3.1 million Instagram followers flooded the likes and comments on the post, sending their best wishes to the happy couple.

'Thank you to everyone for all the amazing well wishes,' he responded in his Instagram story.

Adding: 'Yes I am the luckiest man in the damn world to have this one by my side'

It's unclear how long the couple has been together but they only became Instagram official earlier this year with Lauren cropping up in Alex's posts.

Ludwig is best known as Cato from the Hunger Games, as well as roles in Vikings, Lone Survivor and Grown Ups 2.

He will soon being starring in a new series - the upcoming Starz wrestling drama, Heels.

According to Just Jared, the bride-to-be is 'the co-founder of LAF Agency, which is an Influencer Management and Marketing agency.'

John Paul Rice was born the youngest of four children, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He began performing theatre at the age of 7. John attended Georgia State University to pursue a degree in International Business. In 1999, while at college, Rice was given a rare opportunity to work on Jerry Bruckheimer’s Remember the Titans (2000). Following three months on the film, John directed his studies toward learning the history of cinema. He gained hands-on production experience by working on a handful of micro-budget independent films between courses before moving to Los Angeles January 2001 to pursue a career in film production.

In 2001, John landed a position at the film finance, sales and production company Senator International (which later became Mandate Pictures) led by industry veteran Joseph Drake (The Hunger Games, Juno, The Grudge, Harold and Kumar). Under Joe’s leadership, John developed an interest in producing independent feature films.

In 2012, Bravo and Rice created the compelling supernatural thriller Mark’s Secret to Eternal Life (2013). All four films dealt with challenging social issues while telling an entertaining and original narrative story. The team is now in preparation for their 5th feature with Julie Loves to Gamble.
